Nonprofit Spotlight: Setting the Bar at the Seven Bar Foundation

Here at charitybuzz we are lucky enough to work with over one thousand nonprofits around the world—all supporting different causes and missions. And in an effort to get you connected to the causes we work so closely to support, we’re putting the spotlight on the Seven Bar Foundation!
Who has the spotlight?
The Seven Bar Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for microfinance initiatives used to empower women. Using a combination of cause marketing campaigns and top couture events to give visibility to their cause, the Foundation generates funds that are allocated to microfinance institutions, and distributed to women entrepreneurs and small business owners.

What do they do?
The micro-loans give women a chance to start or maintain their own small businesses. They are then able to set up payment plans to re-pay the loans, so that they can become self-sufficient business owners.

How can you help?
Currently, Seven Bar is running an online auction with charitybuzz to fuel their initiatives, with items up for auction like a set visit to MTV’s The Real World, lunch with Mayhem Man Dean Winters, a behind-the-scenes tour of Teen Vogue, and VIP tickets to a star-studded Pre-Oscar party. The Foundation also hosts top couture and luxury lingerie shows in New York, Miami, London and Paris. Stop Being Polite, Start Getting Real: ‘Real World’ Auction Helps to Empower Women (via MTV Act)
Here’s an article from MTV Act published yesterday about how Seven Bar Foundation is getting real and raising funds for women’s empowerment through their online auction on charitybuzz. Check it out, below!

Remember that time when you stopped being polite — and started getting real? You know, when you ran amok with seven strangers and took home a decorative surfboard to mark the occasion? Oh. You haven’t had that particular dream come true yet, huh? Well in T minus 7 days, the Real World fantasy adventure can be yours. Oh yes. It can be yours.

With CharityBuzz at the helm (of course), another wild experience is up for bid in an auction benefiting the Seven Bar Foundation, an organization empowering female entrepreneurs through microfinance solutions. The winner (+1) will head to the new season’s set for a day with cast and crew, witnessing cat-fights, confessions, side-eye and sexy-eye. Who knows. Maybe you can give side/sexy-eye, too? The auction stays open until Wednesday, 1/25, so you’ve got a full week to a) come up with the dough for a win-worthy bid or b) convince a win-worthy bidder friend to see you as his/her only worthy +1 candidate. Duh.

Sipping champagne and living the life like Fergie is definitely the way to start off 2012, so if you’re in need of a little spark for your New Years festivities, this anthem will get the party started! If you’re really looking to welcome 2012 in a big way, be a high roller with Fergie at 1OAK in the Mirage Las Vegas and toast to the New Year to benefit Sunflower Children’s Fund.
Rob Dyrdek bribing little Biebs to err on the side of crazy is pretty entertaining, if we may say so ourselves! It was definitely worth it—watching JB zip around in his custom T-Rex makes us want one of our own!
This T-Rex may have Justin’s initials, but it could be yours! Looks like Rob & Biebs did good in the Fantasy Factory AND for charity!
We are super excited to see Cobra Starship take time out to do some GOOD on VMA weekend when they perform at the Lifebeat concert! To meet the band, and snag some other MTV goodies, check out charitybuzz.com!
