Young History In The Making…

This past weekend, Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Russia’s Maria Sharapova dominated the courts at Roland Garros, and became the 2012 French Open Champions. Despite the rush of emotions and rain, the young pair weathered through the grueling two weeks, and made this Grand Slam title really count. For Maria, she was able to complete the Career Slam and clinch the world No. 1 ranking, and Rafa established himself as the rightful King of Clay.

Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya and Freddie Roach are big-league boxing names, and have each earned their own spots in boxing history. Sugar Ray is the first boxer to have earned over $100 million in purses, won world titles in five different weight divisions, and currently serves as one of the world’s most sought-after Fortune 500 motivational speakers. De La Hoya is one of the best boxing professionals of all time, having generated more money than any other boxer in the history of the sport, and went on to become the first Hispanic American to own a promotional boxing firm. Freddie Roach’s name is synonymous with boxing excellence, as he has trained top-notch fighters past and present, including Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, and Manny Pacquiao among many.
