The Power of Business for Good: International Corporate Philanthropy Day

Each year on the fourth Monday in February, the giving community observes International Corporate Philanthropy Day (ICPD) to inspire businesses around the world to give back and recognize the power of business for good.
We encourage everyone to do their part to make philanthropy an everyday party of their corporate environments, and realize that an integral part of a successful business is not only doing well, but doing good. Check out today’s Huffington Post article that talks about how companies can truly be their best by sparking social change starting at the executive level.
Giving is at the heart of our brand, and today we want to thank you, our Charitybuzz community, for helping us give back to nonprofits 365 days a year! Without your generous support, we would not be able to celebrate raising over $60 million for charities since our inception in 2005.
Keep up the good work! We simply couldn’t do it without you!

Own SJP's Stilettos Or A-Rod's Cleats: Bid On Celeb Shoes To Benefit Soles4Souls
(Loved this post from Glamour.com..just had to reblog!)
Okay, so my lifelong fantasy of actually being Sarah Jessica Parker may never come true, but now I can have the chance to walk a mile in her shoes—literally!

Over at CharityBuzz.com, they’re in the middle of a massive celebrity shoe auction to benefit Soles4Soles, a charity that recycles shoes for people in need. In honor of National Barefoot Week, a slew of A-listers are kicking off their stems and putting ‘em up for grabs. The offerings are pretty amazing: A pair of Brian Atwood pumps signed by SJP herself (above), cleats worn by Yankee Alex Rodriguez, sneakers signed by the entire cast of Saturday Night Live, and ShoeDazzle high heels from all three Kardashian sisters.
While some of the kicks are already, unsurprisingly, skyrocketing—Roger Federer’s tennis sneakers are fetching close to $1,500—there are still some affordable items in the mix. And considering all of the money goes to charity, they’re practically a steal. The auction ends on June 22, so head over to CharityBuzz.com now to place your bids, and tell us…whose shoes would you most like to walk a mile in!?
